Dying Deeper

Not dead yet but not alive either
Yet the sound has stopped
The melody of life is no longer there
The steel has rusted, the string is broken
Along with the rusted zither

Not frown yet but not a smile either
Yet the smile is nowhere to be seen
The eyes are filled with mist
The fire of light has drowned, the coldness has seeped within
Along with the life that has forgotten to take a breather.

Not vibrant but not black and white either
Yet the colors are not as good as it could be
The life that has seen the end of life continues to live on
The earth has become a world of muted colors
Along with breath that’s getting weaker

Not dead but not alive either
Yet living with no will to live
The eyes that look at the world of muted colors
The mouth holding a cigarette, The world moving in slow
Along with the will to live that’s dying deeper
Along with the will to live that’s dying deeper
